A Poem from the Middle of the Night with Baby

April is National Poetry Month and the month of the Poem a Day Challenge, and I'm celebrating by writing poems in my head while I nurse Baby in the middle of the night!Sometimes I thinkyou would crawlright inside of my heart,if you could.
Pudgy baby handsgrip and devourlong hair strands,as if they werereins to my soul.
Gaping, open mouth kissesobscure my face fromhaggard thoughts.
Younurse, nurse, nurse, nurse, forging us togetheras one.
Little do you know:Whether your handscan hold meWhether your kissespelt my faceWhether our bodiesconnect us as one,
You have dwelledinside of my heartsince the beginning of timeand will remain therewithout end.
