I was very excited to review the Diaper Safe Laundry Detergent made by Mandy Mitchell of Kickin Creations because I am always on the lookout for the very best way to clean Baby's cloth diapers. We have been using our current set of diapers (mostly bumGenius 3.0 AIOs) for quite a while now so a bit of stink and some decent stains have built up, making this an ideal time to test out a new diaper safe laundry detergent.First off, I have to admit that I fell a little bit in love with Mandy of Kickin Creations as soon as I opened the package she sent me for two reasons:1. It smelled incredible! Mandy sent me the Black Raspberry Vanilla scented detergent and it is just a downright yummy scent.2. She threw in a pair of the softest and cutest blue and grey striped Baby Legs which look awesome on my little man.I first used the detergent on a load of Baby's regular clothing. I have a high efficiency washer, and I used 2 tablespoons of Kickin Creations Detergent. Baby's clothing came out so unbelievably soft! I've never had his clothing come out of the wash with such extra softness. Also, several of Baby's outfits were heavily stained with bright red strawberry juice - including white shorts. All of the stains came out - and the laundry had been sitting with these stains for several days! Based on this load of laundry alone, I will be purchasing more Kickin Creations Diaper Safe Laundry Detergent in the future!I next washed all of Baby's cloth diapers with 2 tablespoons of Kickin Creations Detergent. I followed the recommended wash routine: cold pre rinse, hot wash cycle with 2 tablespoons of Kickin Creation Detergent, extra rinse, and dry as usual. The diapers came out nice and clean. Heavy stains were not lifted, but I was pleased with the cleanliness and freshness of the diapers after this regular wash cycle. My final test for the Kickin Creations Detergent was to follow the instructions for a diaper soak. The soak instructions were as follows: For best results, start soak with clean diapers. Soak over night using 4 tablespoons of Kickin Creations Detergent. Finish wash cycle as usual. Follow with two wash cycles with no additives or detergent. I saw a marked improvement in Baby's diapers after completing this soaking process. Stains were greatly reduced, though not completely gone in some instances, and the diapers smelled better. I am guessing that if I had the time to dry Baby's wet diapers out in the sunshine, the stains may have lifted completely. I hope to try this with my next overnight soak.Overall, I am very happy with Kickin Creations Diaper Safe Laundry Detergent and I definitely recommend it. I love supporting a work at home mom - and especially one who creates so many wonderfully unique and handmade gifts and products for adults, children, and your home. This detergent is eco-friendly, and each $15.00 vacuum sealed package contains up to 70 wash loads - a really fantastic deal!
