A Letter to My Baby Girl on Her Four Month Birthday

Dear Little Sister,This is my first blog letter to you, although I mentally write a letter to you every single day. Today, you turned four months old, and I continue to grow more amazed by you every day.
From the moment my labor began, I knew you were someone very special. You were the ultimate partner and champion in your epidural-free, VBAC birth. Arriving two weeks late, I put my trust in you that you knew the best way to enter this world, and I'm so glad I did. I've trusted you every step of the way since then to care for you. I follow your lead, and know that your wise eyes hold more weight than any other parenting resource.
From the moment you were born, you seemed much older than a newborn. I think you may be an old soul like your mama. You have made life so easy for me. Instead of the harried, frantic life stage that I expected to be in with a toddler and newborn, I have spent the past four months in total bliss. I have felt nothing other than rested, calm, and totally in love. As I watch you and your loving brother interact, I have such an overwhelming feeling that our family is now complete.
You've brought an additional layer of beauty, sweetness, and joy to our lives that I could never have anticipated. Dada, Big Brother, and I all adore you so much, and I cherish every moment we spend all together.
Waking every morning to your little hands tugging on my shirt and opening my eyes to your joyous smile. Our faces nose to nose as we watch each other's eyes with contentment. The feel of your breath going in and out against me as you rest upon me in the Ergo, your head upon my heart. Your squeals of excitement as you greet life every day with simple happiness. Your peaceful, beautiful face - the last thing I see when I close my eyes at night.
Thank you for making me proud and happy and so fulfilled every single day!
