For instance, if you are interested in looking up potato chip alternatives, they are divided up by fried potato chips, baked potato chips, and low-fat/light potato chips. In addition, for each section (ranging from Chips, Dips, & Party Foods to Granola Bars & Other On-the-Go Snacks), there is an introduction that succinctly tells you the worst ingredients to be aware of, an explanation of why these treats are bad, and tips for embracing the healthier alternatives. I especially appreciate the section at the beginning of the book that actually explains what many of the ingredients are that we see on food packaging - you know, the ones that are hard to pronounce and that make your eyes glaze over as you try to figure out what they are.
This book is an awesome stocking stuffer for the loved one in your life who is trying to take the healthier path - or the one that simply needs a push in the right direction.
