If you know anything at all about me, you probably know that I simply cannot imagine parenting little ones without babywearing. My husband and I have always been accustomed to an active lifestyle, and when my son came along three years ago, babywearing allowed us to keep up that active lifestyle as a family of three. When my daughter was born a little over a year ago, babywearing became absolutely essential to our lives. I nursed her in the carrier, kept her close, and cuddled her - all while running after my son.
If I could recommend one must have item to new parents, it would be a soft structured carrier, and the Onya Baby Cruiser is an excellent carrier that offers awesome features that were clearly designed to make the lives of parents much easier!
Here's why I love the Onya Baby Cruiser:
It has a high back that offers head and neck support.This was a huge perk for me and really distinguished the Onya Baby carrier from other soft structured carriers in my experience. My daughter sleeps in the carrier A LOT. This child has almost never missed a nap in her life because I can count on the fact that she is comfortable enough when snuggled against me in a carrier to take a full length nap. In other carriers, I have had to reposition her flopping head throughout the nap - especially if I was moving around or playing with my son. In the Cruiser, my baby girl's head was so well supported that I didn't need to change her position or adjust her throughout her nap. The back is high enough to give all of the support she needs, but it is not so high that my very curious girl is prevented from looking around and having full range of motion.

Your little one can ride on your front or back.When you're trying to complete tasks like vacuuming or doing arts and crafts with your older child, being able to easily switch your little one to a back carry goes a long way!
Onya Baby has thought of everything! Even an integrated seat that can fashion your baby to almost any chair!How many of you have had the experience where you wish you could safely sit your baby in a regular chair? I can't tell you how many times this happened to us when our daughter was smaller, especially when we were out and about at activities designed for older children. Well, clearly the mama who founded Onya Baby did too, because she had the innovative sense to design an easy to use seat with a safety harness that pulls right out of the pouch on the front of the carrier! I really wish we had this carrier when my daughter was younger. We would have used it for this feature all of the time.
There's also a nice snug sleep hood that easily folds into the front pouch, a double-entry, side-zippered koala pouch and patch pocket, and a toy loop on each shoulder strap. Again, this was clearly designed by a real mama!
It is comfortable!And I mean VERY comfortable. I am not someone who has a ton of upper body strength, but I can easily carry my three year old son in the Onya Baby Cruiser for long periods of time - whether we're passing time on the ferry during travel, walking for blocks in the city, or going for a hike.

I can nurse my daughter in this carrier very easily.You don't need to do any fancy maneuvering to nurse your child in this carrier. It's an easy, obvious, and comfortable process.
