My three year old son and his friend who accompanied us had the best time dancing in their seats and attempting to copy the unbelievable range of beat boxing sounds that the Voca People make. This show is filled with audience participation! Audience members took part in the performers' humorous skits, danced with them on stage, and had their brains read by the aliens to see what music was playing in their heads. Running for 90 minutes straight of fun, an intermission was not missed at all since Voca People had us all on our feet and beat boxing right back at them. Whether your child has had the opportunity to attend theatre performances before or not, I guarantee that they will be thoroughly engrossed in it and if they choose to let loose a little, they will simply fit right in with the rest of the audience.
The performers that make up Voca People are extremely talented individuals. Not only are their vocal abilities out of this world, they also are wonderful actors and comics. You'll be completely caught up in their mission to spread the word that music is life and life is music. You'll also reminisce along with them as they take the audience through the history of music and movies alike.
I have been fortunate enough to have seen more than my share of wonderful theatre performances around the world, but I have never seen anything quite like this show. What an unforgettable way to spend an afternoon or evening in the great city of Boston!
