The Top 5 Books That My One Year Old Loves Right Now

If you are a regular reader of this blog, you know that Baby is obsessed with books and has been for quite some time. Although his top 10 list of favorite books changes from time to time, I thought I would share the books that he particularly loves right now. I would highly recommend any of them as wonderful toddler gifts.
1. Kitten and Her SisterBaby found this book at the library several months ago and after renewing it several times, we finally bought him his own copy. As you may know, Baby is in love with cats, and although he has several cat books, this is the one that he loves the most.
2. The Eric Carle Books: Brown Bear, Baby Bear, Polar Bear & Panda BearThese were the first books that really drew Baby into reading. He loves the rhyme, repetition, and beautifully textured illustrations of animals.
3. Pat the BunnyThis was one of my husband's favorite books when he was little. Baby hurries through this book to get to two specific pages: the one where he can lift the curtain to play peek-a-boo with Paul and the one where Paul and Judy wave bye-bye as he loves to wave back to them.
4. Dr. Seuss's ABCThis is the first "long" book that Baby loves. We were amazed that right from the very first time we read it to him, Baby sat captivated through all 63 pages. His favorite page is the 'H' page. We recite this book when we change his diaper and any other time he needs a little extra comfort.
5. Baby Says PeekabooI love that these peekaboo pages are sturdy, so no matter how enthusiastically Baby turns the pages, they never start to rip. Baby loves to look at the faces of other babies, and he especially loves seeing his own face added to the list of babies on the last page which contains a mirror.
